About SeePantry
SeePantry is a kitchen-inventory and meal-planning app for households that don't want to throw food out. Snap a photo of your grocery receipt and the app extracts every item, infers each one's expiration date and storage location, and adds the entire shopping trip to your kitchen in one tap. From there it suggests recipes from what you actually have, flags what to eat first before it spoils, and warns you at the store before you re-buy duplicates. Built solo by a developer who loves cooking. Bootstrapped, free tier, optional Pro. Shipped iOS + Android in 15 languages on day one — and accessible to everyone from day one (VoiceOver, TalkBack, high-contrast, reduce-motion, dynamic type, haptics).

Founder
Jordan is the founder and solo developer of SeePantry, based in the DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia). SeePantry started as a personal problem: a passion for cooking paired with the realization that he was constantly wasting food — buying things twice, or letting good produce go bad. The existing pantry-tracker apps were all passive — glorified spreadsheets you stop opening after week one.
SeePantry was built to be the opposite: proactive. The receipt-scan flow populates an entire kitchen in one tap, with categories, storage locations, and inferred expiration dates. The "money saved" and "CO₂ prevented" numbers come from a per-item engine grounded in real data, not placeholder figures. Accessibility was a day-one priority, not a phase-2 polish item — for the same reason.
