What guest mode actually gives you

Up to 50 items, barcode scanning, the shopping list, expiration tracking and reminders, all stored locally. It is a real trial of the core product rather than a locked demo. AI receipt and voice scanning need an account, because those run on our servers.

Encrypted on the device, not sitting in a cloud

Everything stored locally is encrypted with AES-256, with the key held in the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore. In guest mode there is no account for that data to be attached to in the first place.

No ads, and analytics off by default

There is no advertising in SeePantry at all, and usage analytics are switched off unless you turn them on yourself. Your grocery habits are not a product we sell.
