What it pulls off the receipt
Item names, quantities and prices, plus the purchase date. Each item is then classified into one of 29 categories, given a storage location, and given an expiration estimate based on both. Everything lands on a review screen first, so a bad parse is a tap to fix, not a mess to clean up.
It notices things you would not
Anything that has never been in your kitchen before is flagged as new. If a price is higher than you usually pay for that item, it says so with the percentage. And if a receipt looks like one you scanned recently, it asks whether it is a duplicate rather than silently doubling your pantry.
